Abstract:

This circular advises operators of certificated pilot schools the procedure for obtaining Federal Aviation Administration approval of pilot training courses under Subpart D of Part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations, adopted as Amendment 141-6, effective December 13, 1967. This revision supersedes AC 140-3A, and clarifies in section 5 the acceptability of prepared pilot training curriculums purchased by pilot schools for approval of courses under Subpart D.
