  This publication consists of consolidated profiles for the thirty largest transit agencies in the United States. The criteria used to determine the thirty largest agencies is operating expenses reported for the 1991 report year. The data contained in each profile consists of general and summary reports, as well as modal, performance, and trend indicators for the 1991 report year. The profile supplies both general and financial system information. Transit system characterics are also portrayed by mode, and, additionally, selected performance measures are provided.
