Abstract:
The 2009 Illinois Travel Statistics publication is assembled to provide detailed traffic
information to the different users of traffic data. While most users of traffic data at this level of detail are within the Illinois Department of Transportation, this publication is distributed outside the Department. The 2009 Illinois Travel Statistics publication along with the previous seven years of travel publications can be viewed and downloaded from the IDOT web site www.dot.il.gov under the “Traveling Public” selection. During 2006, three counties were moved from District 9 to District 7. In 2005, nineteen counties were moved to different Districts as part of IDOT’s overall reorganization plan. Any comparison of District data between years need to take in consideration the new District boundaries.
