Abstract:

With the Motorcycle Crash Causation Study (MCCS) dataset mapped to the Florida crash database, an effort to obtain a complementary understanding and knowledge of characteristics related to locational, temporal, trip, motorcycle, injury, and contributing crash factors by most harmful event was conducted to lead to informed decision-making by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on strategies, countermeasures, and policy, e.g., design standards for motorcycles in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
