Abstract:

The following environmental justice (EJ) policy statement was adopted by the CMTS Coordinating Board at their March 23, 2022 meeting. The statement was adopted to align the EJ activities of the CMTS with the EJ work of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Subcommittee on Science and Technology (SOST). It states that the CMTS “commits to use the CMTS forum to recognize, educate, and share best practices amongst its members in support of implementation of environmental justice principals in the marine transportation system.”
