Abstract:The scope of this research is to use commercially available ground penetrating radar (GPR) system and apply the developed methodologies to estimate the modulus of a base layer or estimate pavement layer composition values, including water content or asphalt content, density, percent air or porosity in the asphalt, concrete, base, and subgrade layers using micro-mechanics models.
