Abstract:To assure consistency in agency planning, the Office of Aviation Policy and Plans provides an extension of its annual 12-year forecasts of aviation demand. Although forecast values are shown for specific years, year-to-year fluctuations are difficult to forecast precisely. Therefore, the projections reflect the trend of average conditions expected during the forecast period. The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) annual 12-year forecast is utilized for both manpower and facility planning as well as for policy and regulatory analysis. This document contains projections for commercial and general aviation aircraft fleet and hours, air carrier and regional/commuter passenger enplanements (domestic and international), and air carrier air cargo revenue ton miles (RTMs)
