  The purpose of this Phase 2 Study is to compare national motor vehicle accident projections ; made from the Crash Avoidance Research Data base (CARDfile) with national motor ; vehicle accident projections made from other data bases. For the most part, the ; comparison will be with data derived from the computerized data bank of the ; National Accident Sampling System (NASS). Where appropriate, data from the ; National Safety Council's "Accident Facts" will also be utilized. Phase 1 of this ; project compared the distribution of people, vehicles and roads in the CARDfile states ; with the nation.
