This document presents the process and methodology for pavement designs in conformance with CT DOT design practices including new construction, rehabilitation, and preservation. Types of pavements addressed include flexible asphalt concrete pavements, rigid Portland cement concrete pavements, and composite pavements. This document addresses design process and submission requirements, material selection, and design data requirements. Additional special conditions include pavement designs for Major Traffic Generators (MTGs), bridge deck overlays, and widening.
