• Abstract:
  The goal of this project was to develop a document that describes the overarching Transportation Asset Management Plan for Nebraska. Note that this document is a summary document and that most of the technical details can be found in the supporting documents. A partial list is shown in the References section. Appendix A lists the outline of the proposed summary document. Note that this project summarizes what is currently being done in Nebraska as related to asset management activities defined by MAP-21. There are no recommendations or studies on current asset management practice. This document allows NDOR to meet the requirements of MAP-21 related to Transportation Management Plan documentation. This document was forwarded to FHWA for approval. It is the guiding document for all Bridge and Pavement asset management activities on the NHS at NDOR and will be updated on a regular basis according to MAP-21 guidelines.
