  • Abstract:
The Fourth National Joint Use Conference was held in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 14-15, 1997, at the Holiday Inn Lakeside Hotel. The objective of the conference was to focus attention on highway/utility joint use issues. Speakers representing power, cable television, and telephone were invited to participate on the program. The record of their remarks is contained within these proceedings of the conference. About 200 professionals attended the conference. In addition to the technical sessions, workshops were conducted ‘on pertinent highway/utility joint use topics. These workshops provided an opportunity for the conference participants to discuss in detail issues raised in the technical sessions or of particular concern. The enthusiasm, foresight, dedication, and competence of the conference coordinator; the conference staff members; and those people who participated on the program, on the planning committee, and/or in the conference were instrumental in making the Fourth National Joint Use Conference a success.
