Abstract:
The results of this research note are based on 1996data for fatal crashes, driver licenses, and estimates of total crashes based upon data obtained from the nationally representative sample of crashes gathered in the General Estimates System (GES). The average annual miles of travel estimates are from the 1995 NPTS survey.
