Abstract:

In section 5517 of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, (FAST Act; P.L. 114-94) Congress directed the Secretary of Transportation to prepare a report on minimum levels of financial responsibility requirements for the transportation of property pursuant to 49 U.S.C 31139 and make it publicly accessible on the Internet no later than January 1, 2017. Accordingly, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has prepared this report.
