Abstract:

Profile measurements on GPS and SPS sites that cannot be obtained using the FHWA-LTPP highspeed profilers should be completed using an approved Dipstick®. Decisions with respect to the need for Dipstick® measurements at these test sections should be made on a case-by-case basis by responsible regional personnel. Non-FHWA-LTPP profile measuring equipment is not to be substituted for a FHWA-LTPP device in the monitoring of LTPP test sections without advance authorization from the FHWA-LTPP Division.
