Abstract:

This System Requirements Specification establishes the functional, performance, design, development, and verification requirements for this project. Requirements are detailed for each subsystem that is being developed and/or enhanced based on several cognitively accessible technologies as part of AbleLink Project #2: Leveraging Innovative Technology to Develop the Smart Travel Concierge System (STCS) to Facilitate Pre-Trip Planning and Virtualization for Individuals with Cognitive Disabilities. Specially designed methodologies are required to overcome cognitive limitations experienced by individuals with cognitive disabilities and others with limited ability to use mainstream travel tools to enable these individuals to more independently engage in pre-trip preparation activities. Unique applications and tools are being created by AbleLink Smart Living Technologies to use cloud-based and mobile technology, such as web apps, tablets or smartphones, to deliver these methodologies for enabling individuals to prepare for travel more independently despite existing cognitive limitations or existing difficulty using public transportation systems.
