Abstract:

A national level, multi-year implementation roadmap for moving the industry towards bridge information modeling (BrIM) - based project delivery and life cycle management. This roadmap identifies and recommends steps and procedures deemed necessary to facilitate the adoption and use of the developed bridge data exchange protocols. The roadmap is intended to define a strategic plan for establishment and deployment of these protocols as a national standard for data exchange in the bridge industry, both during the execution of the current task and into the future. The objective of this roadmap is to identify specific steps and corresponding timetables for further developing, educating, implementing, and deploying bridge data exchange protocols.
