Abstract:The primary objective of the ICM Initiative is to demonstrate how Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technologies can efficiently and proactively facilitate the movement of people and goods through major transportation corridors that comprise a freeway, arterial street network, and bus and rail transit network. This report analyzes the need for arterial data within an Integrated Corridor Management System (ICMS), identifies data that is currently available to fulfill the needs, and identifies potential sources of additional data which could be used to fulfill the needs.
