Abstract:The Second National Fishing Industry Safety and Health (FISH II) Workshop was co-sponsored by the Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Northwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (NCOHS), North Pacific Fishing Vessel Owners’ Association (NPFVOA), Region X Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Thirteenth and Seventeenth Districts of the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The purpose of FISH II was to increase awareness, build coalitions, share information and experiences, and encourage action to prevent injury in the commercial fishing industry.
