• Abstract:
  The mission of the VDC is to provide information to transportation agencies on the capabilities of commercially available vehicle detectors by gathering, organizing, and sharing information concerning tests and test procedures in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The VDC will also act as a catalyst for developing standard test protocols so that no matter who performed the tests, the results will become widely acceptable. The purpose of this report is to provide background information on the VDC, and to provide a summary of VDC activities, accomplishments, and most importantly, a vision for the future of the VDC.
