This guide was issued to provide guidelines for construction of the geosynthetic reinforced soil-integrated bridge system (GRS-IBS). Refer to "Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Integrated Bridge System Interim Implementation Guide" for terminology used in these guidelines. This guide serves as the technical basis for agency-developed standard specifications. Local experience and practice are incorporated as applicable.
