Abstract:

The major objective of this study was to determine the variation in asphalt cement content found with the nuclear asphalt content gauge during normal plant production. Secondary issues which needed to be resolved for implementation were moisture content determinations for the correction of nuclear readings and the variation associated with changing the sampling location for gradation for m extracted mix to cold feed operations.
