Abstract:The ocean passenger industry has undergone substantial changes in recent years. In response to market conditions, passenger vessel operators are deploying larger vessels, cutting fares, changing destinations, and embarking from seaports closer to travelers in major metropolitan areas. In the United States, many new and renovated ocean passenger terminals have opened in port cities along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts, as well as across the Gulf coast, to help accommodate these changes.
