• Abstract:
  This report represents a recompilation of data collected in the 1992 Census of Transportation, Communications, and Utilities and is divided into three categories: size of establishment, size of firm, and legal form of organization. Only establishments which operated the entire year have been classified into the various size groups used in the establishment size tables (tables 1 and 2). An establishment is classified as "operated entire year" if it operated 10 months or more during the year. Data for establishments which reported that they were in operation fewer than 10 months are separately summarized as "not operated entire year." Data in table 7 are presented for firms by legal form of organization for four separate categories.
