• Abstract:
  In May 2008, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) published a Joint Evaluation Plan for the U.S. Department of Energy and Federal Transit Administration1 Background that outlined the fuel cell bus evaluations the Laboratory was conducting for the two agencies. This document is an update to that report and describes the fuel cell transit bus evaluations performed by NREL and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA). For some projects, the entire evaluation is funded by either DOE or FTA, while in other cases individual activities within a specific evaluation are funded separately. This document provides a description of the demonstration sites, funding sources, and data collection activities for fuel cell transit bus evaluations currently planned from FY10 through FY12.
