Abstract:The Smart City Demonstration Program is intended to improve access through expanded mobility options in major job centers, enhance visitor experience by better connecting visitors to transportation options, stimulate regional economic prosperity and compete globally through smart logistics, better connect Columbus residents to safe, reliable transportation that can be accessed by all, and support the efficient movement of people and goods through environmentally sustainable practices. This document enables the Smart Columbus Project Team to manage the overall Smart Columbus Program and each of its associated projects using consistent systems engineering principles and methodologies to maximize the quality of each system while adhering to the budget and schedule. The SEMP provides a process to manage the relationship between Program and Project objectives, the sequence of Projects, the dependencies of Projects, consistent execution of Projects, identification of common resources, and establishment of a management hierarchy between Program and Projects.
