Abstract:
This Manual describes the Department of Energy?s (DOE?s) explosives safety requirements applicable to operations involving the development, testing, handling, and processing of explosives or assemblies containing explosives. It is intended to reflect the state-of-the-art in explosives safety and to ensure that applicable criteria and requirements for implementing this policy are readily available and known to those responsible for conducting DOE programs. This document shall be periodically reviewed and updated to establish new requirements as appropriate. Users are requested to submit suggestions for improving this Manual through their Operations Office to the Office of Field Support.
