This compendium focuses on projects that represent activities which have supported the evolution of the Intelligent Vehicle Initiative (IVI) and partly or totally funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Brief abstracts are given for each internal project entry. The basic categories of classification include: Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS); Automated Highway Systems (AHS); Collision Avoidance System (CAS); Vision Enhancement; Drowsy Driver ; Related Driver Behavior; and Driver Vehicle Interface.
