    An evaluation of communication technologies for application to TMC-TMS (Transportation Management Center

    to Transportation Management Site) communications in Caltrans District 1. Wireless and wired technologies

    have been evaluated for prospective use, with pros and cons presented in general as well as site-specific analysis.

    The results of this study are applicable to other Districts and DOTS, for both rural and urban use. Three major

    deliverables were received as a result of this research:
