It is designed to elaborate on technical concepts and procedures referred to in ; the Caltrans Traffic Noise Analysis Protocol (the Protocol). The contents of this Supplement ; are for informational purposes only and unless specifically referred to as such in the ; Protocol they are not official policy, standard or regulation. The procedures recommended ; in TeNS are in conformance with “industry standards”. ; This document can also be used as a “stand alone” document for training purposes, or as a ; reference for technical concepts, methodology, and terminology needed to acquire a basic ; understanding of transportation noise with emphasis on highway traffic noise.
