Abstract:

The expressed objectives of the peer exchange were to:

• Increase ways to increase involvement of local governments (county and city

engineers, county highway and public works officials) in all facets of the research

process.

• Improve implementation of research results and new technologies into practice at

the local level.

• Identify procedural improvements that will reduce work for those involved in the

research process and improve final products.

• Improve the research implementation system for project reporting and benefit

calculations.
