Abstract:"When the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) air traffic and technical operations staff moved into the new air traffic control tower at LaGuardia Airport they not only found themselves in a bigger, more modern building, they also discovered a permanent exhibit highlighting aviation history from the earliest pioneers and their aircraft to the first airports, navigation aids, the passenger experience, and the airport’s history. The exhibit includes approximately 300 aviation photographs, advertisements, and travel posters along with museum-style captions and headings. In addition, LaGuardia’s and New York’s aviation history is detailed in five photo montages." / From the Introduction.
