Abstract:

As part of the periodic evaluation of the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on the Long Island Expressway, an HOV lane user/non-user survey was conducted in January 1997. The survey included users of the HOV lanes during the HOV-reserved hours, HOV lane users during the non-reserved hours and general purpose lane users.
