• Abstract:
  Reflecting on the fiscal year 2012 Research Program, I am proud of all that our team and our ; colleagues in the community have accomplished. Transportation research has expanded within ; ODOT due to strong technical liaison interests and efforts, as well as having dedicated researchers. ; Amid a context of continuing department-wide reorganization, state pension reform for an ; impending retirement population, pressure to tighten budgets, and the delays of committed ; transportation projects out to 2036 — creativity and commitment have been key. ; Some notable Research Program activities during fiscal 2012 include hosting a peer exchange, ; partnering with the Ohio Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center, ; and reaching out to ODOT Districts. Each of these I will describe in some ; detail below.
