• Abstract:
  The CAPITAL project was undertaken to assess the viability of using cellular-based traffic probes as a wide area vehicular traffic surveillance technique. From the test, cellular technology demonstrated the technical potential to provide vehicle speed and geolocation data that, under the proper circumstances, can provide additional information on freeway traffic conditions.
