The first is "Enabling Research and Development", designed to provide a forum for industry and government to establish, prioritize, and evaluate IVI goals and research. In this group, three specific IVI projects are proposed: 1) Forward Collision Warning Requirements; 2) Driver Workload Metrics; and, 3) Enhanced Digital Maps. The second group is "Infrastructure Consortium", designed to support IVI by sponsoring and directing research programs. The third group is "Research and Operational Testing", intended to aid in research and testing not carried out in the first two groups. The fourth group is the "Federal Advisory Committee" which is integrated with ITS America Advice.
