This course identifies the principles and methodologies adopted by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) to support successful project management and delivery. Project management requires the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to deliver the project on time, within budget, and according to specifications. INDOT’s project management process is based on proven industry standards for project management, such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) prepared by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and INDOT’s accumulated experience with the management and delivery of transportation construction projects.
