There are various methods of pavement material recycling. This report is devoted to hot-mix plant recycling considerations and procedures. The several phases of the hot-mix recycling process are discussed separately, including removal and size reduction of existing asphaltic concrete pavement material. analyzing pavement composition, determining the amount of recycling agent required. mixing the ingredients with new aggregate and asphalt, the hot-mix plant process, spreading and compaction, quality control, the economics of hot-mix recycling, and other pertinent information.
