Abstract:

Starting in 1981 and continuing through July of 1983, "C" value data were collected from 29 different projects in Oregon. Results from the study indicated that the overall operation and construction of asphalt plants, burner fuel type, mixing temperature and the use of bag house dust collectors had a significant influence on the tenderness of the produced mix. The results were published in a 1984 report.
