Abstract:This study is to determined by physical, chemical, and biological means, the effects of bridged highway construction techniques on water quality in wetlands. Water quality was monitored before, during, and after construction. The data shows the increase in pollution that occurred during construction. The areas where construction has been completed have shown gradual improvement toward the preconstruction ambient. The information obtained may be useful in predicting the degree and duration of impacts of future construction projects on wetland environments.
