This report provides an update to the benefits documented in the synthesis report published in early 1999, Report 1790-2. It summarizes the major documents and other information published through 1999 and early 2000. Topics for these documents include evaluation tools and results, estimates of project and deployment benefits, and extensive listings of issues and discussion papers. An annotated bibliography of recent works is presented. Finally, an extensive list of resources, primarily on the World Wide Web, is presented. These resources include both official web sites of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Joitn Program Office and other state web sites, as well as association and education resources.
