Abstract:

This study was initiated in response to a request to the Virginia Department of Transportation from the Virginia Manufactured Housing Association to permit the movement of 80-ft mobile homes on Virginia highways. Information concerning the movement of mobile homes in Virginia and other states is presented along with conclusions relative to allowing movement of 95-ft combined units (80-ft mobile home plus 15-ft tractor) in Virginia.
