  • Abstract:
There are a number of funding and technical assistance programs available to the local governments in Vermont. Due to the variety of these programs and the complexities of each, this may be a confusing area for elected or appointed officials in towns, cities and villages. This handbook is intended to provide a reference to aid in general understanding and to guide officials in their cooperative relationships with the Agency of Transportation. This handbook is organized to present general knowledge and background information, and then to describe in detail the individual assistance programs. Two sections describe assistance available other than the funding assistance programs. Also included are sections which provide information on topics related to highways and bridges. Index, 75p.
