The Iowa Transit System Plan was developed as a result of the on-going long-range transportation planning process known as Iowa In Motion This planning document, the 1999 Iowa Transit System Plan, is the result of this continuing planning process and has been considered and coordinated with other Iowa in Motion: Part IV system plans. The Iowa Transit System Plan is intended to serve as a guide and resource document for state efforts relative to public transit in Iowa. This Plan provides a basis for current and future policies, funding priorities, and program decisions that affect both public and private providers and users.
