ROSA P serves as an archival repository of USDOT-published products including scientific findings, journal articles, guidelines, recommendations, or other information authored or co-authored by USDOT or funded partners.
As a repository, ROSA P retains documents in their original published format to ensure public access to scientific information.
The ENTERPRISE Program is a pooled-fund with member agencies in the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands. Its main purpose is to use the pooled resources of its members, private sector partners and the United States federal government to develop, evaluate, and deploy Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In general, ENTERPRISE projects are considered on an annual basis. This supports development of an annual workplan with a consistent schedule. Under the 2002-2003 workplan, the following projects are continuing: Project #1: Evaluating the Benefits of Technology Applications for Rural Transit Providers, Project # 2: ATIS Promoting Common Specifications For ITS Internet Applications, and Project #3: Integrating NTCIP Compliant Hardware (INCH) 3. The following new projects are planned: Project # 1: VMS and HAR Usage During Non-incident Conditions, Project # 2: Transportation Management Plan and ITS Implementation During Mass Evacuation, and Project #3: Sponsorship: Leveraging Successes in Gas/Food/Lodging Sign Sponsorship for ITS Traveler Information Systems. Each project is broken down into 1) Background, 2) Summary, 3) Goals & Objectives, 4) Tasks involved 5) Products/Outcome, 6) Schedule/Status, 7) Budget, 8) Participants, and 9) Point of contact. 47 p.
