This series of World Wide Web slides focuses on the Operational Evolution Plan, which is a 10-year plan for aviation operational improvements to increase capacity and safety in the United States. This plan is unique in that it integrates all actions: safety certification; procedures; staffing; equipment; avionics; and research (FAA/NASA). Benefits include the following: accommodating a 30% increase in commercial operations; delivering free flight capabilities; changing airspace and navigation procedure to increase system flexibility and access; and building a foundation for future advancement in free flight concepts.
