Abstract:
The publications listed in this document report the results of research conducted by the Geotechnical Team, a part of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Infrastructure R&D in McLean, Virginia. This document also collates, categorizes, and integrates geotechnical information developed by other units of the FHWA; this material complements and aids in the implementation of geotechnical research outputs. The list of publications is organized by the following categories: Foundations - Bridge Foundations, Drilled Shafts, Pile Foundations, and Spread Footings; Ground Improvement - Chemical Grouting, Slope Stability, Earth Retaining Systems, Slurry Walls, Soil Nailing, Stone Columns, Geosynthetics, and Vertical (Wick) Drains; Soil and Rock Behavior - Expansive Soils, Frost Action, Shale, Soil Compaction and Stabilization, and Rock Slopes; Tunneling; and General - Computer Programs, Remote Sensing, Reviews-Workshops-Risk Analysis-Seismic-Earthquakes-etc., Testing, and Waste Utilization.
