    This Guide, Volume 2 - Websites, is part of the International Guide to Highway Transportation Information, a multi-volume set of Guides that provide highway transportation information resources for domestic and international professionals. In this Volume 2, listings of national and international websites, which cover highway transportation topics, are included. A worldwide organization list is also provided. State- and provincial-level transportation departments are not included in this Guide. In addition, the Guide does not include libraries with highway transportation departments. These sites are identified in Volume 1. The Guide is set up in tabular form by country. A list of organizations (native language and English), and their website addresses is provided, with a brief description of the organizations and website content. Some of the websites are currently presented only in the native language of the country where the website is produced. However, many websites include alternate languages, as well, such as English and French, and a few indicate that alternate language versions are being produced. Websites were checked and verified in April 2000. It is important to note that website addresses are subject to change.

    Volumes 1 and 3 have been produced and are available at www.fhwa.dot.gov. Volume 1 identifies highway transportation libraries and information centers in the world. Volume 3 identifies document delivery suppliers. In the near future, other volumes will be produced. Volume 4 will identify bibliographic and nonbibliographic databases; and Volume 5 will identify highway transportation research centers, associations, organizations, and other professional societies. A final Guide will also incorporate all five volumes and include an index.
