Abstract:

The Alabama State Transportation Plan (ASTP) presents the vision that will guide the development, growth, and maintenanc eof the state's transportation system for the next twenty years. the ASTP includes the objectives and guidelines that will enable Alabama to achieve its goals. In Phase 1 of the plan, presented here, goals, objectives and guidelines are identified. An inventory of the existing system including identification of major corridors is also presented. Phase 2 of the plan will add the needs assessment.
