Abstract:
Part I of this brief will identify issues, funding opportunities under the reauthorized national transit law – Safe Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act a Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), and benefits of investing in tribal transportation programs. Part II of this brief includes case studies that provide examples of successful tribal transit models. And finally, helpful resources are listed on the last page of this brief.
