Abstract:On November 4, 2009, ITD’s Office of Highway Operations and Safety partnered with the FHWA Office of Safety to host a one-day peer exchange. This event focused on the update of Idaho’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), entitled “Toward Zero Deaths, Every Life Counts”; the State’s revised SHSP is targeted for completion in June 2010. The peer exchange provided an opportunity for Idaho safety stakeholders to collaboratively initiate a data-driven, comprehensive plan and establish statewide goals, objectives, strategies, and action plans.
